In a word… STUNNING!
These forecasts for population growth and their implications for the already healthy Texas economy are… absolutely stunning.
The significance of the relocating masses from mostly bluer states, as we’ll see in my next video on exactly “Why Texas is BOOMING!” will by no means escape the attention of corporations logically seeking to take advantage of our pro-business climate and growing workforce.
What are the Numbers Projected by 2050?
Well, we’ll be needing 10.5 million housing units for 30 million new residents.
The influx over the next 40 years will double what happened over the previous 40 for a gain of 120%.
But, just don’t take my word for it.
This came out of a study done back in July of 2013 for the Real Estate Center of Texas A&M.

So, Let’s Zoom in on D/FW in Particular.
Currently, we’re at 6.8 million and looking to grow to over 7 million in the next year.
In excess of 200,000 people seems pretty small potatoes, but that doesn’t take into account the folks already here who will be upsizing and downsizing,…
over 16.8 million from 2015 to 2050.
That’s a 163% increase over where we were in 2010.
I think it’s safe to say that’s a whole lot of relocating families that will be in need of both permanent and temporary housing, which is GREAT news if you’re a seller, investor, or landlord.
The Bottom Line?
Expect Dallas to at least double or triple in population and experience economic growth to match it!
Real estate is certainly looking up when you grasp the overall picture of the massive influx heading our way.
